Description
Responsible for assisting the Director of Golf Operations with management of golf related activities
Duties
- Recruits, manages, and coaches Girls and Boys Golf Team.
- Assists Director of Golf Operations with planning, promoting and directing all golf activities including daily management responsibilities.
- Works with MACC Commissioner for coordination of golf tournaments.
- Orders supplies associated with golf activities.
- Understands recruiting and all other NJCAA rules.
- Plays golf with members of all skill-levels to generate enthusiasm.
- Designs and conducts golf clinics.
- Assists students with general financial aid information.
- Designs and conducts junior golf clinics and training programs.
- Designs fundraising activities for the golf program.
- Markets, sales, organizes and conducts club tournaments and related events.
- Interprets and enforces the rules and etiquette of golf
- Interprets and enforces club policies, rules and regulations.
- Consults with the Director of Golf Operations about course and practice range operation, maintenance & rules.
- Cooperates with the Greens keeper about maintenance issues that affect the playability of the golf course.
- Represents the club in area professional events including local, state or national events with the approval of the Director for Lion Hills.
- Serves in an adjunct capacity, as needed.
Qualifications and Required Documents
Education:
Bachelor's degree, preferred; Associate degree and relevant certifications, required
Skills:
Work Experience include required number of years documented experience in a comparable/related position:
2 years of relevant work experience required
Other Qualifications:
Must hold a valid driver's license; Class A PGA status preferred
