At Runners’ Edge Alaska, our mission is simple: empower active Alaskans of all ages to return to what they love… for life! We are honored to serve such fantastic clients who are proactive about their health and are genuinely determined to achieve their athletic and health aspirations. Whether that be to run a marathon, hike Flat Top, recover from surgery, return to their sport with confidence, or go on walks with their grandchildren. We serve Alaskan go-getters, from recreational weekend warriors to elite athletes—and even Olympians!

Our team is active in the community; covering sporting events, and hosting workshops and private training groups for teams and special groups. Our team has covered many competitions; from local cross-country running, skiing, track, basketball, national championships, world-level competitions, and the Olympics! We work very closely with local sports teams and the US National Ski Team. Our outreach reflects the activities and interests of our PTs- making what we do even more meaningful.

Our team of caregivers are committed to staying ahead of the curve in PT education and leveraging cutting-edge technology such as Blood Flow Restriction training, Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, blood flow restriction training, VALD force plates, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, and custom orthotic assessments.

While we’re known as a leading sports physical therapy clinic in Anchorage, Alaska, we strive to be more than, “Just a PT clinic.” Alongside musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and sports-specific rehabilitation, we offer a comprehensive suite of sports performance services. This includes everything from strength and conditioning programs and classes, running gait analysis, strength and power testing, and more!

Our team meets weekly for Rounds and Mentorship sessions to discuss client care and clinical growth. They also fine tune their skills using state of the art sports PT technology including Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, Blood Flow Restriction Training, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Custom Orthotic Scanning, Running Gait Analysis, and more! Full-time caregivers also receive a generous continuing education fund as part of our benefits package. We’re committed to fostering an environment of ongoing growth and collaboration, supporting each other on our journey to becoming the best clinicians we can be.

Our clinic maintains an 85% productivity standard to ensure focused, one-on-one treatment for every patient, maximizing the quality of care we provide. One of the reasons I love working at Runners' Edge is the patient population. A big percentage of my day involves working with high-level athletes who are fun to work with because they are very driven and motivated. They've also helped me grow as a PT because I'm constantly critically thinking. A lot of our high-level athletes have soft-tissue injuries and it's been fun learning how to progress them through tendon-loading programs.
