Asphalt Green Soccer Club, a premier youth soccer club based in New York City, NY, is looking for experienced and knowledgeable soccer coaches for the upcoming 2025/26 season beginning in August . The Club recently joined the elite ranks of the National Academy League (Boys and Girls). We are looking for experienced Head Coaches who share our commitment to excellence and can guide our Boys and Girls U13 to U18 teams in this competitive environment.
Training & Match Preparation:
- Design and implement age-appropriate training sessions following the club's methodology
- Develop and manage seasonal training and competition schedules
- Prepare and execute match-day plans, including lineups, tactics, and in-game management
Player Development:
- Provide consistent, constructive feedback to players and parents
- Track player progress using performance data and video analysis
Administration & Compliance:
- Maintain training attendance, match reports, and player evaluations
- Ensure compliance with Asphalt Green and U.S. Soccer rules and standards
- Attend league meetings and represent the club at approved events when required
Culture & Communication:
- Model professionalism, leadership, and a growth mindset
- Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability, development, and respect
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and club staff to address questions, concerns, and updates
- Coordinate with Asphalt Green SC leadership, on club initiatives and coaching education requirements
Logistics & Administration:
- Assist in scheduling, roster management, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Adhere to club policies regarding travel, tournament participation, and event coordination
Licensing & Experience:
- Minimum USSF D or equivalent. USSF C preferable
- A minimum of 5 years experience coaching at the youth or collegiate level is preferred
- Experience using player data platforms
Background Checks & Compliance:
- Must successfully complete a background check and Safe Sport certification
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven ability to develop and inspire youth athletes
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with video analysis tools, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and online meeting platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with other coaches and club staff
Other Requirements:
- Valid drivers license
- Availability for regular travel to tournaments and league games which may require overnight stays
- Non-traditional work hours, including weekends and evenings, are regularly required
