Job Summary
Oversee the use and care of building equipment, furnishings, and facilities as well as the programmatic details of intramurals. This includes oversight of activities, schedules, event setups, equipment functions, and general building security.

Education/Qualifications
Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
Adult CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Interest in fitness, sports, and recreation; outgoing, energetic, and excels in speaking to groups or individuals.
Strong customer service and communication skills to assist gym patrons and address inquiries effectively.
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently.
Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment for all users.
Confidence to work with a variety of individuals, take initiative, enforce rules, and address rule violations.
Ability to collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for all users.
Ability to learn and adapt to a constantly changing working environment.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 45 pounds.
Late night hours, weekends, and school break hours may be required.
Work outside in various weather conditions including rain, snow, cold, and heat

These are the job duties for required of the position.

Responsibility/Duty
Assist with planning, organizing, and overseeing intramurals, special events, and off campus trips.
Assist in evaluation of program effectiveness, surveys, learning outcomes and measurements of participants.
Knowledge of sports rules, officiating protocols, and playing guidelines (training provided).
Maintain surveillance of patrons, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to policies.
Understand and enforce NWCCD, Campus Life, sports and recreation policies, procedures and conduct expectations.
Assist in marketing and promotion of Campus Recreation events including recruiting participants.
Set up and take down equipment, ensuring everything is ready for daily use and sports and recreation activities.
Track and report gym usage, attendance, program statistics, and any other logistics.
Responsible for opening, closing, and managing recreation facilities, ensuring safety and security.
Serve as primary contact with Campus Facilities and Police in case of emergency while working.
Attend all required training and meetings as scheduled. Includes pre-employment training in August before school starts.
