We are looking for an ATC that will travel between our Newnan and Fayette offices as well as assist in surgery as needed.
Georgia Bone & Joint is a leader in orthopedic medical care with growing practices in Coweta and Fayette Counties. Our Newnan facility also has on-site MRI, Physical Therapy and Ambulatory Surgery Center. We are seeking a certified athletic trainer (ATC) to join our team in Newnan.
Duties will include:
- Teach safe utilization of post operative braces and assistive devices to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Teach patients and family safe transfer techniques and ambulation to prepare them for discharge home.
- Help educate and screen surgical candidates to ensure successful and safe post-operative experience.
- Provide prehab of patients to prepare them for surgery as needed.
- Assist with properly fitting of DME after surgery.

- Collaboration with physicians, PAs, Nurses, physical therapists, and other allied health-care professional providers.
- Understanding of first aid, skilled hands-on treatments, manual therapy, and rehabilitation techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in athletic training from credentialed institution required
- State licensure in Georgia
- M-F with occasional weekend coverage.
