Lacrosse-related duties include coaching games and practices; designing practice plans; coordinating responsibilities with assistant coach(es); supporting college placement for student athletes; collaborating with the Taft admissions office and college counseling office; and communicating with various stakeholders, including families. In addition to the duties related to leading the girls lacrosse program, specific assignments also consist of teaching in an academic department and/or a non-teaching administrative role, evening duties, and participation in a second season of the schools afternoon program.
Specific qualifications include previous high-level coaching experience; strong interpersonal, communication, and professional skills; and, a desire to work with engaged and motivated students.
Additional qualifications include a demonstrated commitment to the tenets described in the schools Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Portrait of the Graduate; a bachelors degree and at least three years of relevant experience; the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, employees, and other campus stakeholders to support and expand programmatic and institutional goals; and, an interest in joining a residential community that serves a globally-inclusive student body
