JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Apex Events Intern, you will assist the team with the daily operational tasks to plan, prepare, and execute our summer events and programs. This is a part-time position reporting to our office in West Chester, PA during the week and on-site at events on the weekends. Timeline: May 19th - July 18, 2025
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Apex Staff with inventory and management of all equipment and apparel, equipment repair & replacement, packing/unpacking event vehicles, etc.
Assist with Event Set Up/Breakdown
Assist Event Directors with various tasks throughout the events including staff check in, running the central clock, preparing/delivering staff meals, disbursing equipment as needed, customer service, troubleshooting issues, etc.
Interns will work at specific events for 3 or 4 day periods as listed below. The times listed in this job description are subject to change slightly based on the schedule and/or weather conditions. Interns must be able to commit to all listed events.

SUMMER OPENER- JUNE 7-8 @ UNITED SPORTS TRAINING CENTER
YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS- JUNE 21-22 @ GERMANTOWN ACADEMY
YOUTH GAMES- JUNE 25-26 @ UNITED SPORTS TRAINING CENTER
APEX 120- JUNE 28-29 @ WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY
THE GRIND- JULY 11-13 @ WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY
APEX 60- JULY 15-17 @ UNITED SPORTS TRAINING CENTER
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a roll up the sleeves attitude and ability to perform loading, unloading and setup tasks at events
Strong self-initiative and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Active listening skills, calm demeanor, strong ability to follow-up, passion to see project through to completion
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to achieve event goals.
Capability to quickly identify and address issues that may arise during event planning
Consistent punctuality and professional presentation
Ownership mentality for position-related responsibilities and company as a whole
Willing and able to lift heavy equipment (60 lbs. or more)
Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule during the week and on weekends. Some travel is required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CLEARANCES:
Minimum of 2 Years of Varsity Lacrosse Experience/Collegiate Lacrosse Experience
USA Lacrosse Member
Federal Criminal History Record Information Check
PA State Police Criminal Record Checks
PA Child Abuse History Clearances
